Louth & Meath
Lough is a seaside county north of Dublin and home to some terrific links golf and the famous County Louth Golf Club “Baltray” has to be the best. It has staged many major events, the latest being the Irish Open in 2009. Its neighbours are Laytown & Bettystown and Seapoint, both well worth playing and great fun. Inland there is a host of fine parkland courses including the championship-style designs such as Knightsbrook, which has been included in a series of holiday ideas.
